People pls note that the afternoon shift is from 2-4pm and not am. also for the evening shift it is from 4-6pm and not am. For the gyro rider stall, from 11-2pm, Ben will be taking over Pravin. therefore those who are in charge of the gyro rider pls note the above points.

A last waning to all:
There will be no more changing of duty from now onwards unless you have a valid reason. As me and Valerie had said, you all are suppose to tell us when you are not free so that we can have time to change. therefore, no more changing of duties ANYMORE!

ALL councillors do take note that there will be a meeting tomorrow ( MONDAY 11th of Feb) AFTER SCHOOL. It will be held in either the AVA room or the Humanities room. School ends at around 1430hrs. I expect EVERYONE to be there by 1500hrs LATEST.The agenda for this meeting is regarding the forum. I will be updating you guys on the forum details so as for you to help your classmates to make better desicions. Those who cannot make it still have to be there THEN to inform me of your absence,if its CCA you'll have to miss your CCA for that momment, should there be any problems give me a call or tell me BEFORE or AFTER morning meeting.

All sec councillors pls note that duty for tomorrow 11/1/08 will have slight changes.

For all sec 2s you will be doing duty for the first 15 mins of reccess follow by the sec 3s for the next 15 mins. All the sec 4s including Ex-cos will be doing the rest of the duties.

Also note that there will be a morning meeting tommrrow at 7 am at the plaza.
Pls confirm any of your questions during the morning meeting.

Guys, here's a better overview of the new duties which I spoke about this morning.

ALL COUNCILLORS : ALL S3 and S4's to do the reading duties.
ALL 2/1-2/4 councillors to do reading duties.EVEN WEEK
2/5-2/9 councillors to do reading duties. ODD WEEK

ALL UPPER SEC COUNCILLORS:

ALL S3 and Ex-co councillors are to "usher" the lower sec for ASSEMBLY and CHAPEL period.

REMARKS: People doing reading duties please make sure you settle everyone down and then ask them to read their books. BOOKS MUST BE IN CORRECT LANGUAGE - EL on mon, tues, wed and MT on tues,thurs. Please do spread yourself out amongst the class. I'm giving you the freedom to choose your partners but do not be caught by the teachers that you yourself are talking.

Expectations For those who are facilitating S1 orietation 2008.

Facillitators, please be reminded to have a good check on your attire and mannerism before you start off the new school day and year. In any circumstances, no vulgarities is to be used, no form of threat and violence are to be thrown at any of the S1. Also, DO NOT confront or target any of them if they are problemetic. Should violence in any form be used against you, do not hesitate to give me a call. I'll be there to mediate the problem. if there is no time to do so, please get a nearest teacher or escort them to the general office. Remember to inform me too that the particular student is being left with who and where, so that i can report to their teacher in charge about their wherebouts.

TO ALL COUNCILLORS, THE ATTIRE STANDARD REMAINS THE SAME. No one is allowed to wear coloured contacts, socks or shoes to school. Ties are a must as well as badges for those who have. SCHOOL SOCKS ARE COMPULSORY. HAIR IS TO BE NEAT AND TIDY AT ALL TIME - in reference to the girls. Failure to do so will mean confiscation of badge till your attire is properly done. I will not return it on the SAME day.

For those councillors who are involve in the sec 1 oreintation please be reminded that you are not going to do the CRC thus you need not wear longs or track pants when orientating. Also please do not wear your councillor t-shirt inside your uniform or else punishment will be carried out.

Just to re confirm.. The attire for the 1st day for those involved in the orientation would be PAHANG TRIP T- SHIRT, SCHOOL SHORTS and SPORT SHOES( preferrably not so colourful).. As we had all been briefed by Miss Phua , with the exception of Rohi, that the Sec 1 orientation camp would be our next project that seeks our immediate attention. Before the 2 meetings that are being e-mailed to us by Miss Phua, there is a date which I hope all will be present to discuss the finer points of the orientation day camp, it's on the 8th of Dec 2007. We'll meet at the canteen at 0900hrs. Please do not be late. Jeevan took down the minutes of the meeting and stuff, we can use that for reference. Those who are not around to help out due to commitments, please inform myself or Jeevan. If you do have any ideas you would like to contribute, please do so before the date.

PEOPLE! I'll be typing out a report with pictures about the Pahang trip! I'm sure most of you will be very excited about it. But I hope you guys will give me some time to organise my stuffs first before i can get the report out nicely. I'll also have to wait for the Sec 2s to get the pictures ready with the approval of Mr Koa ( our boss ) before i can post up. Please also be reminded to read up the blog daily for updates.There may be late updates due to unforseen circumstances at times.I've also decided to impose harsher penalties for those with unacceptable behaviour and attire. Be warned, its not going to be as slack as it was this year. People with tailored uniform which is unacceptable please go and do what is needed.

i really had fun with you guys so far.
especially with those who went to pahang.
i'm loving the councillors so much now!
hope to bond with you guys better.
i'm missing the councillors and the days in pahang now.

oh well,i really hope that we can be AWESOME councillors.
the council,is a place where we get to learn a lot.
this is where i got nurtured into a better person.
i hope i won't hear ppl saying "i want to quit!".
schoolmates may think that we're useless,they might hate us and all.
but,always remember that we're useful okay!
we learn things which are not in the textbook.
from values,discipline to experiences and more.we're much more better than them.

Okay guys, firstly I hope you people had a ball of great time during camp man. But stuffs are gonna get alittle rough for you soon.As they say, life isnt a bed of roses! Its also through the testing of yourself where you'll grow. Remember this, what cannot kill you only makes you stronger! Keep your courage

I know some of you are guilty of giving me your deaf ear when most of the talks and sharing was going on, so I decided to summarise it here in a few pointers! Take your time to read, if there's any part you're baffled by, feel free to find me. (you've got my no.)

Here goes!

1) A leader has to have a vision, a group of people, who is more commonly known as the target audience and of course, a purpose. The leader sees the vision, inspires and share it to the people, and then leads them to the purpose. ( To further enhance your memory on this aspect remember my story about the President of Standford University)

2)There are different level of leadership, 5 to be excat. I'll talk on the first two : positional and emotional. Positional leadersip is specifically those leaders who can lead and gains the "momentary control" over his supporters due solely on his position. Example, in the army some officers are more well liked by their men because of the amount of respect the officer gives. Staying at this level of leadership is extremely dangerous and it would result in the failure of the organisation as well as the loss of valuable staff and resource.Sadly, when we are first entrusted the reins of leadership we always stay at this particular stage pretty long.

Emotional leadership is when a leader can have a good rapport with his/her people, this group of people also feel comfortable in allowing him/her to know their personal stuffs. They feel secure with this leader not only leading them but also a shoulder to lean on. In theory, this leader sounds picture perfect. But it must be understood that this leader although excels in building up relationships, he /she may not be good enough to produce results when needed, or have the courage to remove under performing staff. Staying at this level will not only hinder the growth of the people under you, but will also lead to discontnment in the organisation, eventually the downfall of the organisation. Thus. it is also unwise to linger at this stage.

Okay people, I know I sound pretty naggy, so I'll post it part by part, hope you people will really read it through and understand it. For those people helping out with the Open house, its 4pm, I'll meet you at the canteen. For those going Pahang, its this coming wednesday! WOHOOO! haha.

P.S my brothers and sisters in Christ, I hope you'll pray with me about the Open house as well as the Pahang trip.
